Lee B.!
our final day.
after a late night, we woke up early and started the day with our devotions and memory verses (you should have them tell you the many verses we memorized!) today we are working and learning about local ministries that help meet needs both physical and spiritual. We have students and leaders in groups throughout the city. mel trotter ministries, inner city Christian federation, degage, and continued work at urban family. pray that students will continue their hard work, learn more about organizations throughout our community, and find ways to serve, as God leads during the year. pray also that we will finish well. The past few days have gone by fast but have been filled with God's rich goodness. thank you again for sending us and your prayers!

Emily's day
a break in the action...

after a busy and productive afternoon doing some outside and inside work (it was very hit and humid so we moved indoors). students hit the showers and are watching toy story 2 as we rejuvenate for tonight's activities of leading activities for 4-6 year old children. pray that our students will have the strength they need.
another day

we made it back from the game around 10:30 last night, celebrated a birthday and hit the hay. we woke up early, had devotions, breakfast, packed our lunches and started the day. yesterday our focus was on being a light (our theme) by primarily sharing the Gospel and praying for those in the community. today we are being light by doing work in the community. we'll pick up trash, do some weeding, and other various projects. pray that the community will see our good deeds and praise our Father in heaven. Tonight we will be working with children during urban family ministries (ufm) wild Wednesday. I'll have some pictures up shortly
